Carnival Miracle to Alaska - (photo) review 5/27/14-6/3/14 with kids

My first cruise almost 20 years ago was to Alaska and it was a group cruise, I knew absolutely nothing and had an inside cabin. We loved it, but now know a balcony would be better. Planning to possibly go next August, which will be on the Legend, sister ship to the Miracle.

Will port or starboard be better for the Alaska cruise from Seattle? Or does it matter? I have tried searching, but not finding the answer easily.

I like a mid-ship balcony, is there a better location so there is little noise from any venues?

Your review was great! Thanks for taking the time to write it! :)
