CoconutJD Posted June 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2014 No. The ship will stay on CST for the entire cruise.
MichelleChell Posted June 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2014 Jamaica and Cayman are the same time as ship time and Cozumel is 1 hr behind. So if its 8am ship time its 7am in Cozumel. I think thats right. Thats what I remember from last time.

MichelleChell Posted June 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Cozumel is Mountain time and will be 1 hr behind Magics ship time. Magic sails Central time. Don't worry they will tell you what time it is when you get there vs ship time.
oldvato Posted June 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Cozumel is Mountain time and will be 1 hr behind Magics ship time. Magic sails Central time. Don't worry they will tell you what time it is when you get there vs ship time. Right now, Cozumel is on Central Daylight Savings time, same as the Carnival Magic. The ship will stay on CDT the entire cruise. Edited June 6, 2014 by oldvato
KenMo Posted June 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2014 This is what I use to figure out the different time zones: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
dramaqueenjan Posted June 6, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted June 6, 2014 ok got it figured out..Cizumel is cst however if u cruised in march after daylight savings here they would have been an hour behind as they change in april..I needed to know for a non Carnival excursion :)
richfret Posted June 6, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Don't worry about it and don't touch your watch. Just stay on the same time as when you start. If there are any time changes, Carnival will tell you on the ship and that is the only time to change your watch timing. Again, rely on your watch and don't bother to check any timing ashore because it just confuses the issue. Then again, if your watch breaks ...................................................................... ................................ I don't have the answer to that one. I guess you have to travel in pairs. (just kidding)
PAPERBKWRITER Posted June 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I've been on 25+ cruises and every ship changed to match local time. If in doubt look at the ship clocks before deboarding at the port.
brooklynfc Posted June 6, 2014 #12 Share Posted June 6, 2014 Jan, This is going to be seriously confusing for me.........I'm Eastern time, moving to Central and then "island times." I'm going to be soooooo messed up, lol
dramaqueenjan Posted June 6, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted June 6, 2014 brooklyn ..i feel ya we are pacific time going to central ..waking up day of cruise is daylight savings. Right there we lose 3 hours and then caymen and jamaica are eastern lol but it will all be fine ...on riviera we changed clocks 3 times but never matched port time crazy
CoconutJD Posted June 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I've been on 25+ cruises and every ship changed to match local time. If in doubt look at the ship clocks before deboarding at the port. Carnival does not do this. The ship will stay on the time zone of the embarkation port, at least for the Caribbean cruises. Longer cruises, say to Hawaii, the ship will change times. I'm not sure how it works for European cruises.
