Stump the Cruise Critics-Photo Question

Recommended Posts

OK CCers. On my last Indy cruise I noticed that not all Promenade rooms are the same, specifically from the outside. SO..............why do some rooms have the louvered windows and some don't? Seemed to be in a specific pattern as well.

Let the guessing begin!

I'm booked in a Promenade room on Voyager next year. Will be keen to know the answer to this too. I've done an awful lot of reading on staterooms and have never seen any mention of the windows to this effect

Taking a look at the pictures in the original post, I would venture to guess it has something to do with the 'promenade party' lighting.

No actual knowledge but trying to remember our Mariner and Freedom cruises.

Pretty good guess. They didn't want the promenade cruisers felling like they were getting pulled over by the police. :D

The promenade came in three groups. Of each group the top row and the end cabins were missing the louvers. All middle cabins had them.

Sorry... not big mystery or conspiracy here. It is just a design function... no function at all. These are just decorations or faux windows. From the inside the window is solid and does not open. We liked our promenade cabin on the Freedom.
