opinion on a shore and landf excursion company

We are considering using the companies: tour sales and shore excursions for our land excursions prior to cruise as well as our port excrusions while on cruise...in south america.

 

I have read mixed reviews on both of these companies..some of them quite negative..they are based on the us..i guess they sub contract with local companies at each of the ports.

 

Anyone have any personal experience? Can you share?

You might also like to try Tripadvisor, asking on the forum for the place(s) you are visiting.

Probably can find local guides by trip advisor for each city or by checking the South America board here on cruise critic. To look for guides go to the "port of Call" section lower on Cruise critic menu. Then click on South America. When you get there you will see "search this forum". I would probably search

"city name guide". I put in "Santiago guide" and got many pages of results. Read the threads for information on the guides.
