Herby Posted June 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2014 Has anyone had a Category 8K extended balcony on the Legend? Just wondering what your thoughts are - worth the extra $? Pics?
firemedic1560 Posted June 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2014 We were in 8228 and loved it. It was our first balcony and spoiled us. I would choose it again in a heartbeat.
Ehpride Posted June 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2014 We got a last minute cheap upsell to one. The balcony was huge and it was totally worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JLee1973 Posted June 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Not the Legend but the Miracle which is a spirit class ship. Loved the extra space on the balcony. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

JWGrayson Posted June 26, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Anyone have any pictures of the extended balcony? We were on the Legend for 39 days around Northern Europe, GB and a Northern Route TA. We booked an extended cabin: we were in 7204 the first leg and 7246 for the 2nd and 3rd legs. I love the extended balcony and have one booked for our cruise to Hawaii in Sep 2015. The extended balcony is 60 sq ft, while the standard balcony is only 35 sq. ft. Here is a pic, just not sure what it will tell you, except that it is not crowded. jsfromsc Posted June 26, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 26, 2014 We were upgraded to an 8K on our Legend cruise last summer. We had an 8D on the Miracle and were very disappointed in the size of the balcony. The 8K was much better. More leg room. With the 8D we could barely get around the chairs. crusinpsychRN Posted June 26, 2014 #9 Share Posted June 26, 2014 The difference makes it well worth it. I would love to see all new ships with this size rather than a knee banger balcony. I love to sit out there and read a good book!
BigDoug Posted June 26, 2014 #10 Share Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) The difference makes it well worth it. I would love to see all new ships with this size rather than a knee banger balcony. I love to sit out there and read a good book! Some new ships seem to be getting smaller balconies. Check out the standard balcony on the Breakaway/Getaway. Yes, they are tiny. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1848201 Go to Post #12. Edited June 26, 2014 by BigDoug
