Divina will dock in Bermuda, as far as the casinos being open, I'm not sure. We'll be on Divina's April 11th 2015 voyage to Bermuda so I guess I'll find out then:D First let me say you will love this cruise. I took MSC to Bermuda a few years ago. The ship docks in Bermuda and you can come and go as you please. The casinos are not open while in port. Bermuda is a nice, clean island but they close up early. Thankfully there were some cool bars at the docks that stayed open later. Just FYI depending on the weather is can be cool in Bermuda and the water is colder than a Florida boy is use too :D. Hope this helps.

This gives us a chance to explore Bermuda at our own pace.
joybaby Posted June 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2014 Just booked this cruise. We have been to Bermuda a few times, but many years ago when it was more affordable and then about 10 yrs. ago on the Celebrity Horizon. Having sailed MSC on the Poesia and the Opera I know this will be a fabulous trip. We are also sailing on the Divina Sept. 13. Can't seem to get enough of the sea! joybaby Posted June 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 17, 2014 April 11th Joy?? If so I might have to start a roll call.:D Yes, April 11-18 to King's Wharf. Didn't have anything in mind until I read your post about Bermuda. Thanks. Forgot the Divina was making a one time sailing. It will be an outstanding trip. They use to have one and three day bus/water transport tickets at the pier. Several years ago we were docked in Hamilton for 3 days and got the pass. If they are still selling those, we will buy one for the full day we are in Bermuda. I will look into it. It's public transportation and an education in itself. It allows you to see the entire island.

Yes, it is off of the Carolinas, although far into the ocean. It is not Caribbean weather, so folks wanting warm will not get it in Bermuda. April can also be rainy. It will not deter me, I live in hot sunny Florida. :)
joybaby Posted June 18, 2014 #12 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Nice!!! Since this will be our first time in Bermuda, I think that would be a good idea for us. The bus/ferry passes are still available in Bermuda. If you Google that topic it will come up with rates, etc. I know when we docked in Hamilton 10 yrs. ago they were sold in town. (The ship also had them for an increased price.) I suppose we will have to look into that and see if they are sold at the Wharf which I am sure they are. More ships are going there as the dock in Hamilton is not large. Lots of info on the Wharf on line.

If you remember, post some pics of the Divina in port. I sure will,,My camera battery died on our way back to the ship while we were in Nassau and I missed my opportunity to get a bow shot so I'm not going to make that same mistake again,,I'll bring a couple of extra batteries next time. Cathy Maneri Posted July 21, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 21, 2014 I've never been on MSC, but like this itinerary out of Miami to Bermuda. Also love the photos of this ship, a very elegant décor and like the fact it's a few years old. This is a great cruise since it's a roundtrip out of Miami, where I live. There aren't that many lines that will do this cruise. I also had been on the Celebrity Horizon about 10 years ago and loved Bermuda. We were lucky back then to have docked in Hamilton and St. George's. But the Wharf is fine, just get the ferry bus pass. Can someone tell me what cabin they chose. I like balconies, but I remember the seas going over to Bermuda from NYC were a little rocky. I'm thinking I should do a cabin on Deck 3 mid ship to alleviate any rocking. Haven't booked yet, but really thinking about it.

We love this location not only because of the views but also the great nights sleep we seem to get because of the subtle rocking motion of the ship. I guess if your prone to sea sickness, a low, midship stateroom would be best for you. Edited July 21, 2014 by Mikesa1721
joybaby Posted July 21, 2014 #17 Share Posted July 21, 2014 We also did that trip on the Horizon. It was a great trip. We couldn't dock in St. Geo. too windy. We live in Ormond Beach, so we have a hike to Miami but are going as well as Sept. 13. We are in cabin 11101. In Sept. we are on a high deck but inside cabin - so far.
