Drink package question

I thought I just say a thread about this but now I can't find it, so I apologize if this is a duplicate. Someone mentioned in another site that the restriction regarding everyone in a cabin over the age if 21 having to get the drink package was lifted. Any truth? My husband it would be worth it, but I don't drink as much and would rather just pay as I go

When the drink packages first came out, there was a requirement for all in a stateroom to buy the package. That requirement was removed in Nov 2013, so now only one can buy the package if desired.

Clarea thanks for answering! CCL still had that restriction last year when we sailed and as such we didn't bother with the package.

The premium package also now includes bottled water, which it didn't before.
