cruisingTXfamily Posted June 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2014 We will be going on the Dream next month and were wondering if the in room safes on this ship use combinations or magnetic strips from credit card, gift card, etc.
cbCRR Posted June 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Mine was magnetic. I always bring an empty gift card to use for the safe. Nice ship- have fun!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

Have a terrific voyage! :)
pungo3 Posted June 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2014 The four cabins I have had on the Dream all had magnetic strips. I suspect they all are.
dpugh965 Posted June 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Cabin 7380 on the Dream had 4 digit key pad in May... may be different cabin by cabin.

It's so strange that the Dream has both magnetic & keypad. However good info for people to know so they can go prepared and bring a card with them. I never knew the ship had both. :)
cruisingTXfamily Posted June 18, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted June 18, 2014 thanks for the responses. While I knew that Carnival had both types of safes, I assumed that each ship only had one type. Of course, I know what they say about assuming, so I'll be prepared either way.

Rare bluejay555 Posted June 19, 2014 #14 Share Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) Did you like it? Loved it more than any other balcony I've ever had! It was private, close to the water, and just perfect. I have pictures in my dream review, which is down a few posts on this msg board. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2057773 Edited June 19, 2014 by bluejay555
