OceanSky Posted June 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Hi! I just got back from a 7 day cruise on The Fantasy so naturally I'm looking to book my next cruise. Since I've already been on The Fantasy 5 times, this time I'm looking at a May cruise on The Liberty. My question for all of you is if there's a really good Ocean View room you'd reccomend, or one that you would suggest I avoid (be it because of smells, noise or too hot/cold. Thanks and happy sailing!;)
k2excursion Posted June 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) My main suggestion is to avoid being under the galley. The deck 2 rooms running from the midship elevators to the aft elevators are under the galley. Some of them will have loud noise from above during the overnight. Some will not, but I wouldn't risk it. My favorite spot is to be on deck 2, below the midship dining room, which is just forward of the midship elevators. The dining room is empty all night long, unlike having a stateroom above you. Plus, you are also very close to the dining rooms, theater, nightlife, and getting off/on the ship in port or debarkation. If you can handle a couple flights of stairs, there's no need for elevators for those things (and the elevators are slammed at those times). Edited June 19, 2014 by k2excursion because I'm awesome!
