Ask, and ye shall receive...

Suite categories are designated by the letter “H” (Haven suites) or letter “S” (Non-Haven suites). Stateroom categories not beginning with the letters H or S do not receive perks.

Some ships have S categories only: Sky, Spirit, Sun, Dawn, Star, and Pride of America

Some ships have S & H categories: Jewel, Pearl, Gem and Jade

Some ships have H categories only: Epic, Breakaway, Getaway, Escape & Bliss

• Haven suites have access to the Haven regardless of where they are situated on the ship. The Haven has its own pool, hot tub, sauna, and sundeck. Some have their own restaurant and bar within the Haven complex. Some Havens also have a retractable roof over the central area. Haven configuration varies based on ship class/generation

• All suites have complimentary access to a private restaurant for breakfast and lunch. On “Haven Only” ships Haven Suites have a private restaurant for all three meals.

• All suites have Butler and Concierge service.

The Concierge can assist with dining reservations, shore excursion booking and guidance in

many other areas. He or she also provides delivery of invitations and information to the suite, and

performs all escorts on and off the ship.

The Butler provides delivery of daily amenities, meals en suite, replenishes coffee and other

supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the suite. Gratuity should be based upon services

provided.

• All suites receive invitations to a special cocktail reception with the Captain and other Officers.

• All suites receive priority embarkation {including express through check-in, as well as a private lounge with various amenities to enjoy while awaiting escort aboard} and disembarkation {which includes a private area to gather, and escort off the ship & directly to the VIP Luggage area and Porter Services}, as well as priority tendering.

• All suites receive one bottle of Sparkling Wine, one large bottle of water, a bowl of fresh fruit (replenished upon consumption) and a fresh flower arrangement in their suite. (Note: Garden Villas, Deluxe Owner's Suites and Owner's Suites receive Champagne instead of Sparkling Wine)

• Garden Villa's receive 6 bottles of alcohol with unlimited mixers, soda and water, while Deluxe Owner's Suites and Owner's Suites each receive 3 bottles of alcohol with unlimited mixers, soda and water. All other categories do not receive complimentary liquor.

• All suites are provided with a variety of Elemis brand toiletries.

• All suites are equipped with a Coffee/Cappuccino/Espresso Machine (Most are Lavazza pod-style machines), however the Sun has Lavazza machines in the Owner’s Suites, but drip-style coffee brewers in all other suites (because these suites cannot accommodate Lavazza devices).

• All suites have access to the Pre-Cruise Concierge service, which helps to coordinate your individual selections on pillow types, coffee and tea preferences, and a variety of special requests. Phone number for this service is 855-625-4283.

• All suites (except the SG and SJ suites on Deck 12 of the Star and some suites on the Sun) have a portable phone, which can be used throughout the ship.

• All suites are equipped with the "Bliss Bed" which truly lives up to its name, fitted with upgraded bedding. Also provided with upgraded bathrobes, as well as slippers.

• All suites have an expanded Room Service menu. Essentially, order whatever you want, and if it is available on the ship you will have it.

• Some suites have access to a reserved section of the theater on some ships, based upon stateroom category, as well as other factors, which can vary from sailing to sailing.

Thank you for the link. :) But the PDF is for The Haven suite. This summer will be the first time I travel in suite. My family have a penthouse SE suite on Gem. What kind of perks should I expect?

I read many member mentioned private breakfast and lunch at Cagney. I do not see Cagney in Gem floor plan. Do this still apply to Gem suite?

The listed posted by WaldosPepper above is accurate and very complete.

You may dine in Cagneys for breakfast and lunch as a suite perk. Cagneys is located on deck 13, mid.

For your browsing pleasure, I found this pdf from 2009, but again, the list posted above is quite good.

This will be our second time on NCL, and our first time in a suite on any cruise line.

Questions about the private breakfast and lunch at Cagney's (which we have not dined in before either) -

Breakfast and lunch every day there?

Is it crowded? Dumb question because there are less suites than there are rooms, right?

Is the menu the same/different/better than what is offered in the MDR at the same meals?

Is the menu the same/different/better than what is offered in the MDR at the same meals? It's a different and most think upscale menu. It is however, the same for all week.

WaldosPepper thank you very much for the updated list! One question I have is I'm assuming since the Epic has the Epic club that Breakfast and Lunch happen there and not Cagneys right?

Correct. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner are all served in the Epic Club. Wonderful space, very attentive service, excellent food. You'll enjoy every moment.

Need an update on perks. Staying in haven do you still get 3 bottles and breakfast and lunch in Cagney's. Thanks:)

1 - Haven suites NEVER got booze. Villa and OS did.

2 - You did not say which ship, but I am guessing GA - they eat in the Haven restaurant, not Cagneys like some other ships.

The suite dining room for Breakfast & Lunch is now Moderno on the Jewel. Same menu as before when it was in Cagney's, and same breakfast buffet set up. Just a different location.

We will be on the Jewel next month (first time in a suite!). So do we just go to Moderno for breakfast and lunch at set hours? Is it open to everyone at lunchtime?

Suite guests/VIP only for breakfast and lunch. Open to all for dinner with a cover charge.

The butler will provide you with a schedule. I forget what it is exactly... 6, 630 or so and lunch around 1130.. Opens earlier on port days.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this question and have someone tell me to search .... so hoping posting on this thread I can get the answer :)

I've read where folks say something like "if you are in a suite, basically if there is any food you want that is on board, they can get it for you." And I'm reading a recent dessert thread and wondering about it. Like this coconut flan. Could I request that and have it brought as an evening sweet treat? Just not sure what the parameters are on requesting ... if it's really anything, or but it can't be from specialty places.

The answer is yes. Just ask your butler. Do not call room service. (They will say no.)

As long as you aren't asking for an entree, you can ask for anything to be delivered to your cabin from any restaurant on board. (However, if you ask for a specialty restaurant entree, you will be charged the restaurant fee.) I'm assuming that if you asked for one of the extra charge items (pastry from Carlo's or ice cream sundae from O'Sheehans) that you'd be charged, but I haven't tried that myself.

Be realistic and patient! If you know you want this every evening, do yourself and your butler a favor and place a standing order. For one time things, give at least a couple hours notice whenever possible, or be prepared to wait a while. The butlers can end up super busy in the evenings if one or more cabins are dining en suite.

Another suite perks question - priority boarding.

We are sailing out of Los Angeles, and in the past (non suite guest) we have arrived and had to wait in a long line to get in to the terminal. Will this still be the case? I guess I'm confused of which part is going to be faster/easier for us? The other thing too - my mother is coming with and she's got a cane and probably can't stand for too long. So I need to figure out a way to at least keep her comfy and off her feet for long if I can.

Never sailed NCL out of Los Angeles, but every other prt we never waited in line. You dump bags, security, go to Suite check in( separate area) go to suite waiting , sometimes one area near check in and then moved to a larger area. There is seating everywhere. You will have snacks and drinks available.

You then get on the ship- you don't have to be put in a general , numbered group. We have never had to stand in the Haven waiting area, and even non- suite guests have oodles of seating.

If mom can't stand too long, you can ask for a wheelchair as you do have to walk on to the ship.

You can also contact NCL special services if mom has ambulatory issues- will she be okay on board without a w/c?

Have a great trip

PDW

And about using an old thread- don't worry! One of the bossy people will now yell at you for using a thread that is a year old! Just can't win!

LOL @ one of the bossy people. I do fear getting scolded by them. Thought it better to post on an existing one on-topic than to start a new one.

She will be OK without a wheelchair. She can walk -just slow - just not sure she can stand in place. Seems like we stood in that line for over an hour last year. But suite guests sounds like it may be a better situation for us this year. Thanks much!

in Seattle we were never standing. they took us to the Suites check in room right away bypassing the line and there were seats in there. Then we waited in there sitting down until we were called to board the ship.
