Transportation from Venice Cruise Terminal

We need to get from the Venice Cruise Terminal to the Marriott Courtyard at the Marco Polo airport. Need help. Are there cabs directly at the cruise terminals? Are the lines really long to get a cab? Or, does one have to get to Piazzale Roma somehow to get a cab? I know there is a people mover, but this could be jammed also, with 3000 people getting off the ship. Need help, thanks.

On May 28, 2014 we debarked off the Silhouette, went to the taxi stand and were at Marco Polo 20 minutes later. A point to remember is most airlines don't open up their counters until 2 hours before departure so, there a lot of people milling about and there are not enough seats, so first come first served. This is important if your flight is not until early afternoon and you have problems standing for hours. The taxi got us there ahead of the bus brigades and we grabbed some seats.

The OP is just trying to get to the Marriott by the airport. . .

BTW when we flew home from Marco Polo last month, it was exceptionally smooth. No wait anywhere, not to check our bags, for security, nothing. Our flight was at 1:10 PM. We sat at the gate for a long time, did some last minute shopping, had lunch, etc,
