ivopera Posted August 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2005 Please help me!!! I might go either on Voyager doing Key West Cozumel Nassau... either on the panama canal with Navigator Is there in fact anything really interesting in the different ports? (I mean apart from shopping which I don't like). Are there nice nature excursions, nice places where to swim or nice cultural places???? As for the ship, is Navigator really as nice as Voyager or not??
PaulaJK Posted August 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2005 We have only sailed Voyager, so cannot compare the ships. We very much enjoyed Voyager but do not find much of interest in Key West, Nassau or Cozumel [Do you dive?] On the other hand, the Panama Canal is a miracle of human construction and ode to perseverance...as your onboard official commentator will certainly describe. Going through the locks is fascinating. It's really a wonderful trip and I would opt for it.

jdreyfuss Posted August 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2005 We were on the Mariner through the Canal last year. Fantastic trip. Would do it again. The Canal is so interesting and unique.
JDRMYS Posted August 15, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Which cruise on the Voyager goes only to Key West, Cozumel & Nassau? I couldn't find one on the RSSC web site. RSSC cruises that go to Cozumel often now go to ports in the Yucatan region as well (Belize City, Progresso, etc.). These ports are the starting off points for some of the most fascinating of the ancient Mayan ruins which have been among the highlights of our many years of travels. The Panama Canal is wonderful, but, IMHO, the Mayan ruins trump it every time.
