Conestoga Charlie Posted June 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2014 It appears that we've spent so much time trying to coordinate the schedules that we've missed out on pre-booking some desirable shore excursions. Does Disney reserve some excursions for booking on-board, as some other cruiselines do?
mom x4,grandma x4 Posted June 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2014 Usually they have a few saved and also people do cancel excursions once on board. . There is a shore excursion desk mid ship. Go there just as soon as it opens. Your Navigator paper in your cabin should list the time it will be open or there will be a sign at the excursion desk telling you when it will be open. Often they ask you to check back if there are no openings and sometimes they may make a list of first come first serve for excursion and then they leave a message on your phone. moki'smommy Posted June 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2014 My understanding is that they do not hold back any excursions (although they do hold adult dining and spa reservations). However, keep checking on line--people may cancel in advance. After boarding, go to the "Port Adventures" desk. If what you want is not available, they will maintain a wait list for some excursions. That way, if someone wants to cancel, they can "sell" that reservation to you. It becomes a win/win situation. You get what you want and the other party doesn't have to pay for something they've decided that they don't want. If you cancel after boarding, you ARE charged unless they can resell your reservation.

DISNEY FANTASY Posted June 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2014 It appears that we've spent so much time trying to coordinate the schedules that we've missed out on pre-booking some desirable shore excursions. Does Disney reserve some excursions for booking on-board, as some other cruiselines do? They sell most online the only ones left are to squeeze concierge guests in, they do not went any tour going out and not full, so they maximise the capacity online, do check for cancellations.
