How do tickets/edocs work?

Hi all. I'll be on the Summit in August through the Mohegan Sun. Because the casino 'comped' the cruise, I had to book through their travel agency. I have a written confirmation with sailing date/payment/stateroom etc. but no actual boarding documents.

I've never sailed Celebrity and I've never booked through a TA so I have no idea how to get the actual boarding documents. I know I can't get them on the Celebrity website, but does the TA send something? Do I need to go to their website?

Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If you have your booking number you can get them on the Celebrity website. You need to go there to fill out your information. Just go to Already Booked and it will show online check in.

Do your documents show a confirmation number? That's a trick question because the number shown may be travel agent's assigned number or, if you're lucky, it will be the Celebrity confirmation number.

Go to the Celebrity website and create a user name. Then log in and look for the place to add a reservation. If you've got the Celebrity confirmation number, you're good to go.

If not, contact the travel agent and ask how to get your documentation.

Thank you everyone! I have completed online check in and requested luggage tags. I am still a little confused though. Is the 35 page booklet my boarding document? It had a luggage tag page in it as well as my stateroom etc.

Is that document the only thing I need to bring? I've only sailed on NCL and their boarding docs have a bar code that gets scanned at the pier. I didn't see this anywhere in the booklet.

I guess my question is....what document(s) do I bring to the pier in order to board the ship? Sorry if this is tedious, but making a bad choice regarding what I THINK I need could be a disaster so I'm relying on all the experts here at wonderful CC!

Thanks again!

Oh...and what is the Xpress Pass? Sorry, I'm really new at the Celebrity thing! :o

The Xpress pass is your "ticket". That's all you really need to check in (other than appropriate identification, of course.) Don't bother printing out the e-doc booklet.

Thank you so much! I just need one more passport # to have the ability to print the Xpress pass! Thank you for saving me a ton of printer ink!!! :)

Actually, you only need to print out one page to bring with you for check in at the pier, the first page of the Xpress Pass that has the bar code on it.

But even if you forget that or drop it in a mud puddle, don't worry because you can still check in without it.

It just takes a little longer if you don't have it with you.

In case you have booked a hotel or transfer through the cruise line, there should be a voucher for it included in the cruise documents (that 35 page booklet you mentioned). If so, just browse through it and print out the page/s with the vouchers, not the whole thing.

Since you've managed to find everything else, you should be able to see a place that says "request luggage tags" or something to that effect. If you do that, Celebrity will mail you luggage tags. Otherwise, look for the last page only of the big document they sent you about your cruise. That should be a printable luggage tag and you can make as many copies as you like.
