Dead Man's Reef/ Beach Day

The hubby and I are looking for a relaxing beach day with the ability to do a little snorkeling if possible. How far do you have to swim off shore? How deep is the water? We'd like a more "snorkel at your own leisure" type of day . Is Dead Man's Reef a good place for this or should we go some place else? Oh, and do they have umbrellas? TIA!

In my opinion deadmans reef is the best place to snorkel in Freeport. You can contact them directly. They will pick you up and drop you back off at your destination. You can snorkel with your own equipment or there's. You can rent kayaks and I believe umbrellas( even though I have never rented one) rent wetsuits, have lunch or just hang out on the beach. They have bathrooms and changing stations. I've been there and it's the only place I go in Freeport. I hope this helps
