Has anyone used a guide they can recommend? Welcome to Cruise Critic I see this is your first post There was recent a thread here on private guides but the BEST place to find out about guides in the various ports is in the PORTS OF CALL section of cruise critic. If you do a search in the section covering Israel for PRIVATE GUIDE ISRAEL you will find many recommendations. Also, since this is your first post you obviously have not joined your roll call. I do not know what ship you are on (or even if you are on Oceania) but go to ROLL CALLS, [cruise line name ROLL CALLS] [ship name ROLL CALLS], find your sailing and you can hook up with other cruisers on your sailing. Enjoy Cruise Critic. It is a fabulous resource.

BillPizzaiolo Posted July 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2014 We are cruising to Israel in November and we are looking for a private guide for 2 and a half days. Has anyone used a guide they can recommend? We booked Zahi Shaked. Israeli tour guide (צחי שקד מורה דרך) through Moti. Moti Bar-Tuv <moti@travel-israel.info> He was terrific. We wanted to see all sides of the story, Christian, Jewish and Palestinian. Now when we toured with him things were a lot quieter in Israel than it is today. We were docked in Haifa slept on the ship the first night after touring. The second day we spent touring Jerusalem and the area surrounding. We slept in a very nice boutique hotel there and the second day we toured Bethlehem and the Dead Sea scrolls etc. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining about the historic, Biblical and religious sites that we visited. Zahi has posted many videos on line of groups he has taken on tour. Bill
