sunlite2u Posted July 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2014 Just booked our cruise, first time going to Jamaica. Any excursion or tour groups you'd recommend for a family with a 4 year old? Just looking at pictures of Dunn River Falls, but not sure if it looks safe for a kid.. any suggestions or advise would be much appreciated
mrsfuzzmo Posted July 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Four is a little young for Dunn's River, but if you have another adult that does not want to climb, or will switch off, there is a great stairway/walkway/viewing platforms up the side of the falls. The four year old could also just go in at one of the "escape" routes along the way and play around in the pools with an adult. Mystic Mountain might be cool for you. Chairlift up the mountain to a giftshop/snack bar, pool with small slide, gorgeous views. From there the adults can Zip-line if they want and you can all ride the bobsled through the jungle down to the bottom. It's a little expensive, but could be a fun day with a variety of activities for different ages. There's also tubing on the White River. This is a fairly calm tubing experience and the four year old can ride on an adults lap, or have their own tube if they feel comfortable (most companies have tubes with bottom, so basically a tiny boat). That would be a fun adventure for you as well. Edited July 9, 2014 by mrsfuzzmo
