VIFP for youth and child

How does one create a VIFP account for their youth or child? We are about to cruise for the first time with our children. Should they have a VIFP account so they can accrue points as their new cruising lifestyle has begun?

When you book, your child already will have his or her own VIFP. Our two sons have them and we began crusing when they were 9 & 12, we are about to go on our 5th and they have the same amount of days as we do.

Agreed. They will automatically be members. I did nothing to create a VIFP account for my kids, but they have numbers and Red status for our upcoming cruise.

Yes, they will automatically have their VIFP number. After your cruise, you can go in your profile and look at previous cruises , and click on travel companion, you will see their VIFP number (that's how i found my daughter's number). HOWEVER, although they have a VIFP number, a child cannot have his/her own profile on Carnival (i don't remember the minimum age, maybe 12????). When i tried to create a profile for my daughter, i couldn't do it.

Their VIFP Club number will be on their S&S card, under the Table Assignment.

Agree. My Daughter does not have her own account either (never tried to set it up), but she has a VIPF (past guest) number. Since she is listed in my booking I can see her status. She is red and will be this cruise as well. But the next one, she should be gold.

My son sailed on the Glory back in December at 10 months old. Last month we booked a cruise on the Breeze for the end of July. While booking I put in his name and birthdate and his VIFP autopopulated in the field. We did nothing to enroll him.
