Where do you book the Cheers program?

You can't book the cheers program before your cruise. Once on the ship you can buy it on the lido deck, casino bar or atrium bar. It's available on the 1st and 2nd day only. If you wait until the 2nd day then you pay for 7 days on an eight day cruise. But remember all drinks the 1st day will be charged like normal.

Atrium Bar is most common, no prepurchase allowed.

If you buy on embarkation day (day 1) you will pay full price. If you wait for the "second" day of the cruise you will pay for 7 days. Any drink purchased on day 1 will be normal cost, Cheers will cover any drink purchased starting on day 2.

Hi All,

I asked one of the crew members taking sign ups on the drink programs in May but wasn't sure I was given the right info. If you purchase the Cheers or Soda program while still in port, are you charged taxes like regular drink purchases?

Thanks!

Mike

Dalton51,

You will pay taxes on any drink you buy while still in US waters. You do not pay taxes on the cheers program, but on the drinks purchased on cheers.

Before you set sail, you will pay taxes and those will vary based on the port.

I just learned something! I was told differently from a server-that I would have to pay for the total days even if I bought on day 2. G:cool:ood to know.

Not a good source for information. I was on the Conquest's first sailing with Cheers and even the F&B manager was convinced that sodas counted against your limit of 15.

Also different ships follow different "rules" when it comes to the program. I have had it on 3 ships and none were consistent to the next.
