Hello,

Can anyone recommend a very scenic, mild to moderate hike in Skagway with a private tour company? I would prefer mild to moderate level (hills ok but not steep with loose rocks). I'm also open to a train or boat ride to get there as well as canoeing or kayaking as part of the adventure. I'll be doing this excursion solo in this port so I want to be with a group and I don't care what size of a group.

Thank you! :)

You might want to consider the Chilkoot Hike and Float where as a group you take a small bus to Dyea and hike the first 1.6 miles of the Chilkoot trail. Then you board a rubber inflatable raft and float down the Taiya river. A moderate hike with some elevation, tree roots to climb over, and an easy float back. The hike is narrated. Check out the Skagway visitor's bureau for more information.

I loved Chilkoot Hike. It wasn't a bad hike at all. If I could make it to the river for the float part of the trip anyone can. Bring a good pair of hiking boots. If itvrains, they do provide pochos. I would recommend this tour.
