Where to watch sail away on Oasis?

Recommended Posts

We don't want to be on "secret" balconies or down in the aquatheater----want to be able to see the shore heading out but still a part of the fun--any ideas?

Thanks!

Definitely port side, as Bob mentioned earlier. There is a rock jetty at the end of the beach that a lot of people gather at to watch the ships sail out, especially on Saturdays when the Oasis sails. We did this last year the day before we sailed on the Allure, and everybody is waving and having a good time, both on the jetty and on the ships.

We had a portside balcony, which is the side the jetty is on, but if you'd rather be up top, Bob's suggestion is a good one.

Have fun!

Thank you!! Does it feel like you're "a part of things" on the sundeck versus being on a pool deck? Last time was our first cruise, and so we took the kids to see the sail away party at the Aquatheater--kids ended up not really caring about characters and we couldn't get a good view of the port!! So originally we were thinking of doing a deck by the pool area thinking we could see everything but still be a "part" of the festivities. But now that I think about it, do they only pipe music around the aquatheater where they do the show? Are the pool decks a zoo? We'll have grandparents and tween aged kids.

Thanks!

We like to be on the port side railing above the pool deck. There's an area that bows out a little and it's a great spot to see and be a part of the party atmosphere. You'll need to hustle up there as soon as muster ends.
