So, historically speaking, what are some of the alternative routes that the cruise lines take when high seas are in the path of a cruise to Bermuda? Take a look at a map and see what alternatives you can come up with. The only likely one is Canada if you are sailing from a Northeast port. Even then the ships run the risk of having the hurricane follow in their path as they head north. Projecting the path a hurricane will take is chancy at best. You only have to look at the tragedy of the Fantome a few years ago when it tried to outguess and outrun a hurricane in the Caribbean. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
