Military Discount

Sailing the Miracle - 9/11/05 - I decided to upgrade our booking to balconies, from oceanview, - called my personal planner at Carnival - (Gordon - he's Great!), and long story short......because my son is active military (air force reserves - served in Iraq on a CAT team) and because I am his mom....even though he is not going on the cruise - they upgraded me to an extended balcony - Empress Deck AT NO INCREASE IN PRICE! I was astonished. I thought I understood the military discount - thought the military person had to be on the cruise - but no! The other room for my other son and his wife - I did have to pay an extra $150 per person to move their room up by ours - but still got a killer price - even paying the extra $ - it's still below the going rate! Happy day!

So any of you moms or dads out there who have sons or daughters serving in the military and have an active status - even if they are not going on the cruise - give it a try for an upgrade!
