lovetocruise/diamond Posted July 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2014 In the past when we dined at the Chef's Table it was held in the CL, now it states that it is held in an "exclusive enclave within Chops Grille". Does anyone know why? Maybe the noise from the CL was too much? Has anyone attended since the change of location? Is Chops that empty now and they want it to look more full? Priusprof Posted July 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2014 On Legend Chef's Table is in the MDR...... location must vary ship to ship..... On Radiance Class ships it is in the private room off the Colony Club on Deck 6. On Oasis and Allure it's held on the top level at the CL.It's in the corner of the DR, deck 4, on the Vision. So it's all over the ships depending on class.

MADflyer Posted July 22, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2014 The Chef's Table on Oasis had a meeting time just outside the Concierge Lounge for the welcome drink and then you were escorted through the lounge up to the upper level to a private dining room for the Chef's Table. The new Quantum Class, Chef's Table is in a special dining room that is a part of Chops. It would make sense that they would design it in this way as they could book this space on nights when the Chef's Table is not being held or for private parties. Magnetchief Posted July 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) Due to the noise from the CL lounge below would be my guess. But it took them 18 months to read my complaint card :) Seriously the din from below was terrible. For the first 45 min we could barely hear ourselves above the noise. Once the happy hour crowd had moved on it was not so bad. I'm sure it would be just as nice in Chops Grill. On my sailing there was no noise from the lounge as we were escorted into a room and the door to the lounge was closed. The Chef, Chef's Table Manager and Waiter used the galley door at the opposite end of the room. I was sitting right in this far corner and heard nothing. I think the OP has picked up on the Quantum Class info as Chops Grill on Oasis is so extremely popular nightly that I can not imagine they could take any seats from this venue. But, maybe they plan to run it less frequently or something. Chef's Table was extremely popular on my sailing and they even allowed 17 guests on the night I dined due to reservation volumes. I was just able today to go and book Chef's Table on Oasis Transatlantic and it is saying the venue is 'exclusive enclave in Chops Grille' I too was surprised at that as I have dined before on the upper level of CL Edited July 23, 2014 by emmy
MADflyer Posted July 23, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 23, 2014 When I booked my Quantum Chop's Grill reservation on the 14th of April, they confirmed it as Chef's Table at Chops Grill. When they changed the time from 7:30 PM to 6:30 PM on the 13th of June they referenced 'QN - Chef's Table at Chops Grille Dining Time Change' Oddly, on my Cruise Calendar now they have changed the booking to just read, 'Chef's Table' As they used this same description, I thought initially there might have been a mix-up, but will be interested to know how it goes in the new venue on Oasis. The Quantum Cruise Planner uses this text to describe Chef's Table: Overview If you enjoy gourmet fare paired with the finest of wines, than dining at Chef's Table is an absolute must. Located in an intimate, exclusive enclave within Chops Grille, this private epicurean experience for up to 16 people treats you to a five-course, upgraded steakhouse menu and wine tasting. Dinner at Chef's Table is both experiential and educational, as the Chef de Cuisine specially prepares and presents each course, while explaining its cooking techniques, ingredients and flavors. Then a sommelier pairs every course with wine chosen to enhance your enjoyment of the dish.
Cindy Posted July 23, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I was just able today to go and book Chef's Table on Oasis Transatlantic and it is saying the venue is 'exclusive enclave in Chops Grille' I too was surprised at that as I have dined before on the upper level of CL I also booked Chef's Table on Oasis today, and saw that the venue is listed as an "exclusive enclave in Chops Grill." I wonder if they're planning to move it during the dry dock?
