greenmind0428 Posted July 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2014 In Belize, my trip companion and I are planning on doing an excursion to the Community Baboon Sanctuary. We're on the Carnival Glory in October and there is no ship excursion there. Looking online it looks like there are four or five companies that do excursions there. Has anyone taken an excursion to the Community Baboon Sanctuary to recommend one? Neither of us is particularly outdoorsy but we both enjoy a nice walk. We're not looking for anything additional like village tours or anything.
zounds Posted July 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2014 In Dec. 2010, we went there with Experience Belize Tours. We were the only 2 from the Spirit, so we had a guide and a driver to ourselves, altho there were other excur. groups at the sanctuary. We had a good time and saw other wildlife besides the monkeys. I'd definitely recommend them. steve
greenmind0428 Posted July 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 28, 2014 It looks like that company only does Altun Ha excursions now. :( But thank you for backing up that the Community Baboon Sanctuary is worth seeing. I was a bit worried since I haven't seen it talked about many places.
keelyhealthnut Posted August 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Wow! I am so excited about this possibility. I read that there is a bus that runs from Belize City to the sanctuary. Does anybody know anything about the bus system there?
