jonever Posted July 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2014 Hi I am new to cruising and have booked a trip on Black Watch. I do not drink tea or coffee which I see is generally free, will I have to pay if I want water to drink?

CRUISIN LINDA Posted July 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2014 We had the drinks package in February on the Braemar, but still had to pay for bottles of water.
bobby67 Posted July 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2014 You can get water by the glass in the bars and water from a container on the deck, also you can get water 24 hrs in the self service coffee/tea area. Hope this helps. Carolyn
jonever Posted July 29, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Many thanks for the responses, I hope the water situation is the same on Black Watch as it is on Braemar - looks as I need to pay for bottled water but can get "tap" water in different places on board. Hawks11 Posted July 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 30, 2014 The water supplied by Fred Olsen has always been of excellent quality and I have found it to be the same on every line I have sailed on except one. I know a former ships officer who agrees with me that the water is as I say. Last year I visited Seattle, Chicago and Alaska (where there was quite a lot of frozen water to be seen) and the water being purchased everywhere was Evian water bottled in France! The highlight was the directions on how to make coffee with the advice to use the bottle of water in our room, which was, again, Evian water in a very nice glass bottle cost $9. We survived the trip drinking tap water. Good marketing by the French.
