TXFATGUY Posted July 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2014 you will need to get 1000 points. A point equals $2.50 in play on slots and $5.00 in play on video poker. No idea how they do the points on the table games.

No idea how they do the points on the table games. On table games tip the dealers, be friendly and make sure you let the pit bosses and host know you like to drink and want a drink card ASAP. On our last cruise we played BJ with a spread of six to twenty five dollars a hand. We got the drink cards on day three. What is good is we received several comped drinks before we were given the drink cards. I can't overly stress the importance of being nice and tipping the dealers. I really feel that all comps when playing table games are based upon the pit bosses and casino hosts discretion. Go over to the cruise casino forum and you will this subject of how carnival rates players has been beat to death.

In order to make intelligent bets need your wits about you. Doesnt drinking help the casino at your expense?

NavyCruiser Posted July 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2014 "Was betting $25.00 a hand, never got ask what I drinked and had a drink in front of me most of the time." Let's see.... $25 X 60 hands an hour = $1500 at risk per hour & you're obsessed about a $5 drink...?
GranysT Posted July 29, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 29, 2014 I got the drinks on us card, on my 15 day to Hawaii cruise. Got it on the 5th day. For the other 10 days I got exactly 2 free drinks, and I was in the casino every day, at some point. I hardly ever saw a waiter walking around. This was part of the problem. At one point I tried to get a drink at the casino bar. Nope, was told I had to be playing a machine. Bah Humbug on the free drinks, they can keep it. I'm not impressed. It's a good thing I'm not a big drinker anyway.

On a true 3 to 2 black jack table, I believe you'd lose maybe one hand every hour over the long hall if you play consistent basic strategy. One of the reasons why the casino favors slot players and they have to come up with fake blackjack games like Fun21 or have 6 to 5 payout tables on blackjack. The casino won't give free drink cards at those bets Edited July 29, 2014 by kylenyc
Boozebabe Posted July 29, 2014 #12 Share Posted July 29, 2014 I play $5 tables and the pit boss buys me at least 2 drinks per night.
