Boxers rock Posted August 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Just curious, has anyone called Carnival close to their sailing date to see if there are any upgrades/up sells available? Or do you wait to be called?

golfadj Posted August 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Best to call them, not many get calls from Carnival for upsells.
sjcruiser Posted August 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2014 As noted best to call. I usually do a mock booking online, and call to see if I'm eligible for an upgrade, etc. On previous cruises, I would call before I became fanatic with different rates and promos to see if the price had dropped just to see if I was eligible for a different rate or promo, and most times I could do an upsell to a better cabin or deck for minimal money ($0.00-$120.00 total), often going from an IS to a BL. bptex Posted August 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I've called, never been called. Also have never been offered an upgrade, I've been given the chance to change a reservation for $50 and pay the difference though.
dad2my3 Posted August 1, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I got a call yesterday. They left a message offering to sell me an upgraded suite for next week. I didn't respond. My budget hasn't increased since the initial booking.
ThuviaRN Posted August 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I got a call yesterday. They left a message offering to sell me an upgraded suite for next week. I didn't respond. My budget hasn't increased since the initial booking. Got a call to "upgrade" to a suite from a balcony for "only" $600. Ummm, no thanks.
