We were on the re-positioning during May 2003 Los Angeles to Vancouver we stopped in both Ketchikan and Prince Rupert (PR). While PR was very welcoming as this was RSSC’s first visit to the town, in my opinion I much preferred Ketchikan which is more geared towards tourists. PR is not set-up for or designed for large cruise ships. We had pre-booked a Misty Fjords float plan tour with Island Wings in Ketchikan, this excursion was the high-light of our entire trip, we also enjoyed sailing the Misty Fjords which had the most spectacular scenery. In PR we rented and van, explored on our on and visited a museum cannery, it was enjoyable but I would go back to Ketchikan before Prince Rupert.
