loulani Posted April 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Hi, Just received a borchure from Radisson on a cruise to Alaska in 2004 (planning to go in 2005). Just wondering why suites A & B are different prices. I know Penthouse C has no butler seervices. Just reading the threads, Suites A,B,&C are exactly the same size. Caitlin Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I haven't seen the brochure, but normally suites on a higher deck are more expensive. Why, I have no idea, since you usually have more motion the higher you go.
mp8shnt Posted April 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2004 It's just a pricing strategy by RSSC. The cheaper seats also sell out more quickly leaving the higher priced, more expensive seats, which, in most cases are identical, except for location (deck). A & B are no different than comparing G and H. Both are identical, except location and price. sdf89 Posted April 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2004 This begs the question: how much value is there in being on a higher deck? I have avoided some high decks since I prefer a cabin above our own, instead of a public area. curiouscruiser Posted April 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I think it's prsonal preference. Some folks like lower deck mid-ship because there's less motion. I like views and motion, so in general I like to be forward on a higher deck. I can't see paying for A over B as there's not enough difference. Radisson service is so good I've never seen a need for a butler, so we go with C. Now, if I had won the Powerball last night, my line of thinking might be different....
