Roe-Z Posted August 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2014 I understand there is a 'charge' for this area. Can someone tell me the price. Also, do you need to 'buy' your pass everyday? thanks
GrabMyWrist Posted August 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2014 $79.00 for the week and you get passes at Guest Services once you board. You can buy a day pass but the week is a better option.
greenjello Posted August 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Can't speak for the Getaway, but on the breakaway it was worth EVERY penny, best thing we did on our cruise, plenty of space, your own bar and NO KIDS! ... Buy a weeks pass, go to guest services immediately upon boarding, they sell out fast! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Roe-Z Posted August 4, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Thank you!! Sounds like good advice. What do you get, besides a chair, in this area? Anything free?
SissasMomE Posted August 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Thank you!! Sounds like good advice. What do you get, besides a chair, in this area? Anything free? No. They pass around cold cloths, fruit skewers, cold water, etc., but they do that by the main pool as well. You might want to read some reviews first. Some people love it, but a lot have said it was a waste of money. Unless you want someplace quiet - then you'd probably enjoy it. GrabMyWrist Posted August 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Roe-Z, I love hot tubs. Even own one myself. That said, the hot tubs in Vibe on the Getaway are barely over the temp of a pool. I don't believe they heat them up there like the rest of the ship. Many people sat in them for extended periods of time without issue. They have steps that lead in and out of them as well. There really more like luke warm tubs. JenLovesToTravel Posted August 4, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2014 They rarely sell just a day pass. Since there are very few to buy, they only sell day passes if tge weeklong don't sell out Vibe is totally worth it. BTW they are $79 per person not per cabin Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Roe-Z Posted August 4, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Thanks for the replies everyone. Since I'll be a 'solo' cruiser, there is only one charge I need to deal with. I assume there is also a shaded area to relax...yes?
GrabMyWrist Posted August 4, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2014 Yes, they have umbrellas. There are also 5 cabanas but they are more expensive and sell out fast.
Roe-Z Posted August 4, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 4, 2014 here is what I found out from NCL...there is no elevator to the Vibe deck. I didn't see it (only stairs), but I called to make sure. So, cross that off my list... Instead, I bought the Dinner package
LrgPizza Posted August 4, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 4, 2014 You CAN take elevator to Spice H2O on deck 16. It is also adult only, has hot tubs and also another wading pool type thing that is shaded with waterfalls and such. It has no extra charge. Maybe that will work for you. Good luck.
