Ncl all in package.... Really!

I don't understand all the complaints either. You just have to do the math. For some it will be worth it, for others, not so much. Its just another option made available to those that want it.

Some are suggesting a "build your own" type of package. It sounds good on the surface but I doubt anything will be offered that lets people pick only what they want at discounted prices. The cost of those pictures or internet minutes that many people who buy the package won't use are offsetting the discounts for the things that most people will use.

Perhaps not a pick and choose but a choice between say three types of packages would be nice for AI. The offer as it stands looks only to be a good deal if you already want UBP and the other offerings. If you don't want the UBP it is really not going to benefit even if you took advantage of all other offerings. If the bottom line is to create an all inclusive option that makes money for the company and also provides some benefit to the passenger, I would think it beneficial to offer at least a couple choices that benefit more than one specific type of cruiser. Perhaps one pkg focusing on extra excursion credit, one offering drink pkg and one offering spa pkg as the main component of the AI. And then each choice has the other fillers that you may or may not take advantage of keeping the potential value for the consumer should they take advantage but also allowing NCL to make $ knowing that many will not use all the filler components.

If NCL's goal is to have options for the customer avail to spend more on top of AI they can offer a few pkgs. For example an excursion heavy pkg purchaser may still spend extra $ in the spa. The spa heavy AI pkg may still spend $ on drinks..... But the only offer for now is the drink heavy pkg... Only good if you want a drink heavy AI.

Does anyone know if the blackout dates (March 1- April 15) for the Ultimate Beverage Package will apply to the All Inclusive Package? We kept track of what we spent in the past and when the UBP was introduced (end of 2012?) we wanted to try it on our March 2013 sailing. However it was blacked out due to spring break. Low and behold, that particular cruise the wife and I would have benefited from it, but just slightly. We are considering another 2015 spring cruise, and All Inclusive may be worth it. In the past we typically eat at 3-4 specialty restaurants plus the Cirque dinner and show. As far as drinks, it is easy for each of us to spend +/-$100 per day on alcohol. However, where they get you is on port days.

Not to be rude but if you don't like it don't book it.

It is not for everyone, some people may find it great.

Exactly my thought.

There is actually substantial value in this all inclusive package to guests who would normally purchase the unlimited dining, unlimited beverage and some cruise line shore excursions. The $10 limit on drinks is not very restrictive. The unlimited beverage package works for a lot of cruisers wanting to pre pay for any and all expenses they may have, before sailing.

Water may be no biggie to you but those who have to pay for bottled water because they prefer it, might disagree.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's called optional for a reason

My problem with the water is why isn't it included in the drinks package rather than being restricted!!
