Noodlemamma Posted August 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Has anyone used the Nevis Equestrian center from a ship in docked in Basseterre? How did the timing work out? How did you get there? We are in port from 8AM to 5pM, can we make it there and back on our own?
paul58 Posted August 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2014 It can be done but timing is the issue. There are several options to get to Nevis from St Kitts: 1. passenger ferry from the ferry terminal in Basseterre to the ferry dock in Charlestown, this is the most economical way. You can walk to the ferry in St Kitts and I would guess the Nevis Equestrian Center would pick you up in Nevis. 2. Seabridge ferry from Majors Bay, St Kitts to Cades Bay, Nevis, this option could allow more time on Nevis but requires taxi cabs on both ends of the trip and the most expensive option. Noodlemamma Posted August 6, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Thank you so much for the information. I will try to work out the timing. Do you know how long the ferry ride is?
paul58 Posted August 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) The passenger ferry is about a 45 min ride each way. The earliest ferry over to Nevis would be the 9:30 AM ferry with the return on the 1 PM ferry.
