Northern Residence Posted August 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2014 I have a question my TA couldn't answer- on deck 3, the deck plan shows groups of suites/cabins interspersed with small spaces. Anyone know what these spaces represent? Storage closets? Stairs? And on the Caribbean Classic itinerary, is one side of the ship any better than the other? Thanks for input. r&rd Posted August 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2014 There are regular cabins - the same size as the ones on decks A and B - between some of the suites. Suites are actually two regular size cabins opened up into a double space.
Northern Residence Posted August 9, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 9, 2014 That isn't quite what I meant. There seem to be blocks of 3 suites and 1 cabin with a space between the blocks. Example, deck plan shows an opening between 317 and 319.
r&rd Posted August 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Some are fire doors or firewalls between different segments of the ship. On deck two the slightly larger space (217-219) is the gangway
Hillskis Posted August 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2014 I just got off the Wind Surf on Friday and was in cabin 308 and had one of these spaces next to our cabin. The space you are referring to is an electrical & utility closet than runs through all the decks and there is no noise from it at all. As far as one side being better than another, the starboard side aft has the tender dock and can be a little noisy in the morning.
Northern Residence Posted August 10, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 10, 2014 Thank you, that answers my questions. We've just booked the Feb 7 sailing and can't wait to try the Windsurf
