franandsteve Posted August 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Travelling on the Reflection in January 2015 doing the Western Caribbean cruise. Our initial plans are to eat in the Lawn Club on the first night and the Tuscan Grill on the last night, and for the other 5 nights in the main dining room. We assume there will be 2 formal nights but what nights are they usually on? I think I've read previously that you can hire a tux. If so, is it for the week or per night and how much does it cost? Thanks for any advice on this.
ClaudiaB Posted August 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Probably your formal nights will be the second night and the second to last night. It could vary but that's typical. You get the rental for the week. You can also schedule your formal nights for the specialty restaurants and just wear something dressy but not formal, and forego the rental altogether. Some will be in formal wear even though it's not required, but we always eat in the specialties on formal nights and we just wear something more along the lines of cocktail/semi-formal just to be more in the general atmosphere of formal night on the rest of the ship before and after dinner. Sloop-JohnB Posted August 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Tux Rental / Hire info can be found on Celebrity's Website - Gifts by Celebrity Page = http://www.celebritycruises.com/bonvoyage/gifts-by-celebrity The current rate for a Tux Pkg starts at $ 130 US... Suits at $ 90 US. Pkg is good for the duration of your cruise... It will be delivered to your Cabin on E-Day (be sure to try it on Immediately... So if there are problems with the tux they can be dealt with before Sailaways). Your Cabin Steward will pick up your Tux Rental / make arrangements on your behalf to return it after the last Formal Night. If you are a guy who perspires a lot you can always order a second shirt... Or send out the 1 to Ship Laundry after the first Formal Night On 7 Day Cruises the usual Formal Nights are 2 and 5... But a lot depends on Itinrary... Info will be printed early on for your cruise in "Celebrity Today" or others on the same Ship / Itinerary before you can tell you what happened on theirs Hope this helps, Cheers!
