jamescruise07 Posted August 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I was wondering if it is possible to have your cruise card open a different cabin to the one you are booked on or can you get a card that lets you into another cabin. We have 2 next door cabins but the children are split across the two rooms but want to sleep in the same room Is there any way that we can sort something out??? littlesteelo Posted August 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2014 I'm pretty sure you can get them to give you a separate key card for the other cabin. They won't however reprogram the cruise cards.
tillybilly321 Posted August 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2014 Just go to reception and ask for an extra key card for whichever ever cabin you need one for. This will just be a plain card, not an additional cruise card. I did this last month as I got fed up of trying to get into my husband and sons cabin whilst they sat on the balcony oblivious to me banging on the door  I was told to take good care of it, as they would not be able to disable it if I lost it, unlike they could with my cruise card. davecttr Posted August 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) How old are your children? On my last cruise they printed on the Horizon paper that you are NOT allowed to leave children in a cabin alone and there were details of the various ages where one child could supervise another. I think basically if they are youngish they would not be allowed to sleep in the same cabin. It should all be set out on the P&O site somewhere, the problem is finding it. edit - found this on the P&O site, not completely clear as usual What is the minimum age a child can occupy a cabin to themselves? Passengers under the age of 16 years old are not permitted to travel in a cabin without and accompanying passenger who is 16 years old or over. Additionally, they must be 'escorted' with an adult aged over 18 in a separate cabin. An 18 year old may also occupy a cabin with anyone under the age of 18 years of age. The first two people in each cabin will be charged an adult fare, regardless of their age. Edited August 10, 2014 by davecttr
Pringles Posted August 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2014 My wife obtained a spare card for the children (19 and 14) It was invaluable to make sure they got anywhere on time.
