Putting a hold on a cabin

I have a question for you? We would like to change cabins from our current cabin to one that we like better....same category. I have left messages and sent an email to my TA, knowing that they will be closed tomorrow and haven't heard back. Can I put a hold on the cabin on the Celebrity website and then have my TA change our current cabin to the cabin that we put on hold? Will this cause any issues with our current reservation? Just don't want to lose the cabin:confused:
