krev Posted August 21, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) A lot of UK sailings for next year have risen by £600 - £900 over the last 6 weeks. You get nothing for free with RCI. It's not just RCI that you get nothing free, we just did a last minute to Alaska on Carnival and bought travel coffee mugs that came with a (free) latte, they charged us $.50 for our vanilla syrup! Now that's pretty cheap but I'm sure they all do it Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app Edited August 21, 2014 by krev
seaofwonder Posted August 21, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Well I think we're canceling and going to Norwegian. 12 days out of Venice and hits several stops I want. Pricing is cheaper than the 7 night on Royal. We've tried Norwegian before and so we'll give them another shot. rjrpar Posted August 21, 2014 #28 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone with trying different brands. We worry about it because we know what to expect with Royal....but variety can be good and maybe make us appreciate Royal more. Other cruise lines are great in Europe. Don't think Royal is anything special, besides, it all about the ports. Have a great time.
Melozone Posted August 21, 2014 #29 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Last year we sailed out of Rome on the NOS, for four us in a GS was $4250. Next summer out of Rome for four $9850 on the Allure. More than double. All the suites sold out right away.
