Same happened to us last year. Touristy shops were open like Senor Frogs, but forts were closed. We just walked around, checked out a few open shops that are, unfortunately, in every single port, and spent the rest of the time at Senor Frogs.

We will be in port on Christmas Day off the Independence of the Seas. What can we expect to be open and what should we plan on this stop? We are only in port until 2 PM. Is it hopeless???

Hi 5280mom, we'll be there too and are also wondering what to do. We'll be monitoring this thread to see what people suggest. In the meantime, why don't you join our roll call for Dec 20 Independence of the Seas: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1914909
