Fresh from a Celebrity Cruise. Eying 2015 Cruise on Anthem

Hi,

This is my first post on the RCL thread.

I'm fresh off an 11 night Eastern Med Cruise with Celebrity that was wonderful, so now I'm thinking about next August 2015.

The cruise on the yet to be launched 'Anthem of the seas', from Southampton caught my eye for the following reasons.

 

1. New Ship: I love new tech, gadgets, and modern stuff so a new ship really appeals.

2. Sails from the UK. Always done a fly cruise before which works as you get straight to the sunshine and saves days, buy like the thought sailing from the UK for a change.

3. Itinerary: The cruise in question is called Spain & Med Beach cruise so its not to heavy on excursions and as this would be our 4th med cruise on the trot, I feel I've seen the major highlights thus far.

 

So my first of many questions is about booking. I booked my Celebrity cruise direct with them last time as it was a great price, that was flexible when it reduced.

Looking at the RCL web site, i'm not that impressed so far, and travel agencies seem cheaper.

Any tips of where to book?

Also, anything about RCL I should now when comparing it to NCL, Princess and Celebrity with whom i've sailed before?

We have always done RC and we are doing Anthem next July (so excited about that). Just back from the Celebrity Eclipse and to be perfectly honest I hated it. Can't wait to get back to RC next year. So cross we didn't stick with RC this year but I guess you learn from your mistakes.
