winddawn Posted August 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I saw Freedom inside 5 night for $139 for next week. Amazing deals out there right now if you don't mind booking a guarantee cabin.

092306 Posted August 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Wow, those are incredible rates. Our Splendor cruise went up a lot after we booked it and doesn't look like it will drop anytime soon. Enjoy the OBC! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sanmarcosman Posted August 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Spa balcony for my 9/7 Breeze cruise is $429 with PA Resident Rate. We are up to $1195 in OBC. I'll answer your question, no I've never seen that low of a price for a spa balcony. Good for you!
GaNavy Posted August 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2014 The OBC is great, congrats! Me, I'd rather have a price drop if I could choose - I love OBC but it doesn't make the cruise any cheaper and otherwise there's no way I'd spend $700 in onboards... On the other hand, if I just HAD to take the OBC because otherwise Carnival would never let me on board again...I'd probably live in the spa and buy a massage for my towel animals. :D
sjcruiser Posted August 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2014 We booked an IS using ES/MIL rate. Was able to upgrade to a guarantee balcony, then change rates to another promo with guarantee balcony and $420 obc right before the cruise. We booked the Sunshine again almost a year out using the ES rate again, so hopefully it'll work in our favor again.
CruisingSteelerGirl Posted August 28, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Just saved $160 on Pride for Nov 23. 4 people balcony. Nice.
pbsteve Posted August 28, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I saved over 15% in just 15.... ok lets be honest, I was on the phone for like 30 minutes to get my OBC
Stinger-pr Posted August 28, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Count your blessings guys. I am booked for the Valor in 17 days and have yet to get $1 in OBC. Booked a balcony with Early Saver in Oct. '13 and after seeing the prices hover in the high $700's they have barely come down at all. Now Super Saver rates are at the low $400's but can't price match to that offer since it's a "We (Carnival) pick it" offer and I picked my room. Oh well.... A bigger balcony will have to do instead of OBC.
Topo Gigio Posted August 28, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Btw it's not only Carnival, but all the other cruise lines out there.

NOLAbebe Posted August 29, 2014 #14 Share Posted August 29, 2014 So, are you booking your cruises under Early Saver to be able to take advantage of these drops? Is there another way? I think we did it wrong this time!

Carnival_Brides Posted August 29, 2014 #16 Share Posted August 29, 2014 I've been vacationing with Carnival for seven years and I haven't seen it this low for Florida prices since I started cruising. Our first cruise we paid $129pp (with tax) for a 4 day as part of the old "Twelve Days of Christmas" promotion. Our upcoming Thanksgiving cruise is insanely low. When we booked a few months ago 1A portholes were $409pp--we just nabbed balconies for $439pp.
lazyart Posted August 29, 2014 #17 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Breeze 10/5 spa balcony just dropped to $509. If it drops any more I just might have to upgrade by booking.

pamrose228 Posted August 29, 2014 #22 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Are there any predictions of hurricanes the next few weeks. That might drop rates. I am going in weeks on a Carnival Live cruise, didn't pick the cruise because of this. Got the best rate for past guests at $209 pp OV, 8 weeks ago. The rate goes up and down a few dollars but nothing drastically. Last week they had a Super Saver rate which was same rate as mine but different was I have a guarantee OV assigned before, this rate said your cabin was assigned at check in at pier and that it was not changeable in anyway. Has anyone heard of such a disclaimer.
Shipbound Posted August 29, 2014 #23 Share Posted August 29, 2014 My cruise rate dropped for the Conquest on Oct. 26 so an OBC of 249.00 Dollars will be credited to my S&S card. The cruise rate including taxes is $815.00 for a 7 day Cruise which is the least I have paid in a long time. Gary
near the beach Posted August 29, 2014 #24 Share Posted August 29, 2014 On our first Breeze cruise we had over $1,200 in OBC. This time we only have $20 so far.
