lovey1103 Posted August 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2014 I'm stumped. What do you get with the classic wine package for 109$ + 15% tip.

Lsimon Posted August 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) This package is basically the advance purchase of 3 bottles of wine to be selected on board from a limited selection of around 15 to 20 different, but similarly priced wines. the $109 is the starting price as they also have options for 5 or 7 bottles. Because this is the purchase of a set number of bottles there are no restrictions on sharing like there is for the unlimited beverage packages which are priced per person. Personally, I've never been interested in this. While we do purchase bottled wine on board most nights the small discount of the package hasn't been worth the trade off of being limited to a relatively small selection. Instead we prefer being able to order bottles of wine from the much larger and more varied selection of bottled wine on the ship's wine list. Here is a link to the MDR wine list from March 2013: http://lfsimon.home.comcast.net/~lfsimon/Celebrity%20MDR%20Wine%20List%20-%20Eclipse%20March%202013.pdf While it is a little dated it should still be somewhat representative of what will be offered. The last two package show the selection of wines available with the wine packages which you can compare the rest of the wine list. Also, if you look at the Celebrity web site page describing the packages there is a phrase underlined in the first line of each description which lists wines typically included in the packages: http://www.celebritycruises.com/onboard-celebrity/onboard-beverage-packages?pagename=onboard_beverage_packages_overview#onboard_beverage_packages_wine_tab/onboard/asrPanel%3Fpagename=onboard_beverage_packages_wine Edited August 29, 2014 by Lsimon
