DP Posted June 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2004 What time does the restaurant open for dinner? For both Don Vitos and main diningroom.
sleggitt Posted June 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2004 Both restaurants are open from 7:30-9:30. Make sure to reserve Don Vito's as soon as you arrive on ship. I did and was only able to get a reservation for one night. dougburns Posted June 16, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2004 Not quite correct. The main dining room is open starting at 1900 until 2130 officially, but there will still be folks there until @ 2200. Don Vito is single seating (dinner theatre) at 1900. JPR Posted June 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2004 OK, on the Diamond's Med cruises (and indeed on all RSSC cruises, with respect to the alternative dining rooms), I would guess that you would not want to reserve Don Vito's on the second or last night, when the main restaurant has its most impressive menus. Anyone disagree?
MaggieSL Posted June 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2004 Is the second night in the Med usually formal night? And what happens on the last night in the main dining room?
JPR Posted June 17, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2004 I thought formal night was later in the cruise, perhaps the night of the day at sea. The last night is not formal night, but usually is one of the more spectacular menus.
MaggieSL Posted June 17, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 17, 2004 You mentioned the second night which I thought you meant was formal night. What does happen in the main dining room on the second night?
JPR Posted June 18, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 18, 2004 Usually one of the more special menus, since it's viewed as "Opening Night." The night of the first boarding isn't deemed that.
MaggieSL Posted June 18, 2004 #9 Share Posted June 18, 2004 Thanks, now I'll know when to reserve Don Vitos. Wouldn't want to miss any goodies!
