You should be able to send other person to retrieve wheelchair from NCL with proof of sailing. However I would call NCL and confirm it can be done.

I called the access desk regarding this same issue. My wife is unable to walk long distances or stand for long durations due to MS. I was told they have a limited number at the terminal for passenger use for embarkation.

 

We decided to purchase a lightweight transport chair for her. That way we would have it onboard and for excursions if we need it.

 

In any case call the access desk and let them know what your needs are.
