Chefs table Valor

Has anyone here done the Chefs table on the very busy itinerary of Valor cruise out of San Juan? Do you remember what day this typically is?

We are doing it in December. We were emailed that there are 2 nights the Chef's table would be available but I don't know which day until we board.

I did the chef's table on the Valor on the first week of June of this year. It is indeed the menu listed above.

 

We did the chef's table on Wednesday, which was St Lucia.

 

 

I was not overly impressed with this offering. Indeed the wine and champagne flowed freely, the service was great and the food LOOKED wonderful, but most of the offerings didn't really have that WOW! factor. Our host (the head chef) in our case seemed to be a bit of a pompous blowhard, reviling us with all the things he did to prepare our meal. He had an accent which many times was hard to decipher.

 

Bottom line is that this is the same menu on all the ships and each head chef is reading from a script.

 

I am glad I did this once accompanied by my aspiring chef nephew, but I will pass on this in the future.

 

I also like the tour of the kitchen aspect of it also.

I just did the Chef's Table on my August 31st cruise on the dream and it was a new menu. They said they were testing it out before it going fleet wide. It was really delicious.

We know the dream has it already. The chef on Breeze said a few other ships also have it as of the end of August- mentioned Liberty, Freedom, Valor and that the rest would have it this month.

I would just like someone to confirm Valor has it before I book. I don't want the other menu again.

Yes, we had the new menu on the valor last week.

I think the appetizers were better than the main courses, but all very good.

Log onto the Manage My Cruise website and clicked through to the Steakhouse to make a reservation. In the “Number of Guests Dining” section type in “Chef’s Table”.

It is easy to just reserve through the steakhouse reservation link online. Our night was the day of St Lucia. This menu is the best by far imo.
