Ms Rotterdam 3394/3399 or 2554/255?

A friend and I would like to make a cruise on the Rotterdam next year. The Explore 4 is quite worthless this year and I contacted HAL on it. This is the case: I don't have tons to spend and I need an accessible stateroom because I'm in a wheelchair.

I found out that 2554 and 2555 are HUGE despite being inside cabins. Here's HAL's deal: we can get a free upgrade from one of these inside cabins to either 3394 or 3399. But is this really an upgrade?? According to the deck plans, they are considerably smaller and oddly shaped. The only thing is that they have partial seaview.

Secondly, we could get a free dinner in Pinnacle Grill if we are in an outside cabin and not if we are in 2554 or 2555. Impressive, isn't it? ;)

I had hoped that HAL would have come up with something better. In case there wouldn't have been an accessible outside stateroom, we might have been given some discount. However, with 3394 and 3399 as options, this ain't gonna happen.

Now my question: has anyone been in 3394 or 3399 on the Rotterdam or another R-class ship? Should I go for this upgrade (and the Pinnacle Grill dinner, LOL) or take a large inside cabin, i.e. 2554 or 2555?

Thanks for your help!

Without a doubt 2554 and 2555 are larger than any other non-suite accessible cabin.

Recently stayed in 2554 on the Zanndam and my other friends who where also staying in accessible oceanviews and accessible cabins where shocked and amazed at the size of the 2554 ! Thought I was in a suite. It was considerably larger than the accessible balcony cabin and oceanview cabin. To give you an idea how big 2554 is there were 5 people all with mobility scooters in my cabin at one time andspace was not an issue.

Would book either 2554 or 2555 in a heart beat and NOT accept an upgrade.
