Wine-O Posted September 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2014 I fly using them in October and I really hope I don't run into this. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app We were almost caught up in one last year. Our flight was scheduled to arrive Rome at 1pm, and Lufthansa was going on strike beginning at 2pm. Luckily we arrived in time, but a couple we know going on the same cruise was stuck in Paris because of the short strike. I'm not sure what the strike accomplished other than pissing off several customers. P.S. If you're going to Italy, they announce their strikes ahead of time. Google it to make sure you don't get stuck in the middle of one.

With something like this I am sure the phones are busy So does that mean you have to pay more $$$ for the other flights? Thanks for your help!! However, Airlines sometimes suffer under circumstances they can not control.
Rick-cruiser Posted September 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 5, 2014 I think other cruise lines besides Celebrity may be affected by this.

SoBe2010 Posted September 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 5, 2014 It's pilot union, they want more money... Sorry, but wrong. No pilot strike last year. It was the security staff. And currently, it's not about more money it's about their pensions
