Safes in 2 bedroom Suites

The 2 times we were in a 2BR suite on GEM sister ships, there were two.

But, to be honest, we stopped using them. Left cash, passports, computers, ipads all out.

Maybe we are stupid. Maybe it is not an issue.

Actually, extra cash was stashed well inside a suitcase that was under the bed.

Last week on Gem in 2bed 11006: 2 safes. Nice to have one to stash away seldom used stuff like wallets, credit cards, etc. Then use other for daily in out stuff: jewelry, cash, etc.

We never put cameras or ipads etc. in the safe. Just be smart and don't leave them in plain view. I really don't believe you ever have to worry about your steward or any NCL employee of taking anything, they would not risk their job for a petty theft. But occasionally the steward will leave your door open while servicing your stateroom and may step away, a passing guest may see an opportunity if valuables are in plain sight. Also occasionally some stateroom doors don't latch all the way when closed. I always push on door when I leave room to make sure it locked.
