recommended car service from Lisbon airport

Can anyone recommend a reasonable private car service from the Lisbon airport to the Santa Apolonia cruise terminal?

Why a private car service if you can reach it by metro\subway with 2 or 3 lines or by train or even bus and you will pay so little? :confused:

 

Lisbon's civil Airport is within the city. So transports in the city are the same price, according to its type.

We are booked with lisbontaxis.com for our transfers. Pedro is very prompt responding by email. Our cost for airport to hotel in central Lisbon is 19 euros. Would rather have them waiting for us with a name card in arrivals than taking a taxi from outside where we might be ripped off. Hope this helps!

Hi Margbem,

 

Thank you for the information. We are 2 couples and just booked with Sun transfers at 32 euro's for an 8 passenger private van. A very good price. I agree that we would rather have someone waiting for us with a sign then having to go to arrivals upstairs, and then trying to get a taxi van for 4 that would also fit all our luggage. This comes out to about 10.25 US pp. Cheap enough and a larger vehicle.

I just wanted to tell you that we changed our transfer to lisbontaxis with Pedro.

 

We wanted a later pick up after our arrival as we didn't want to get to the cruise terminal too early and Pedro was very accommodating.

There is no need to book transfers. After you emerge from Customs, you will see the Lisbon Tourist office outside. Go there and order a taxi. They will take the fixed fee, you will get a uniformed chaeffeur and Mercedes immediately. When I was there last year it was Euro25 to the heart of town (Rossio).

Dom Peres - With all due respect, the idea of taking public transport with cruise luggage is simply ludicrous. This message board is not likely followed by many backpackers.

 

SmartTraveller - Thanks for the handy tip. If our hotel in Lisbon does not propose a comparably-priced private transfer, we will take the mode that you suggest.
