Pirtate night

If we are thinking of the same thing nothing happens other than taking a picture with a pirate, some small kids may dress as pirates but that's all, at least in my experience, I've been on 10 CC cruises.

I think it's actually "Talk like a Pirate Day", but Carnival is calling it "Pirate Day". It's this Friday, September 19th. Our group is wearing minimal pirate gear all day and dressing up a little more (some in costumes) for dinner and after dinner activities. Just sounds like something fun to do! It's only the one day right now, but if it takes off, Carnival may do it more often.

Has anyone experienced Pirate Night and if so, what actually happens?

Leaving in a little over 10 days and would like to do a little preparation for it. Not planning a full costume, but maybe a striped shirt????
